The Five Factor Diet is a diet that is taking the world by storm, thanks in no small part to the fact that many of the biggest celebrities in the world, including Josh Mayer and Jessica Simpson, use it. However, what does it entail?

First, when you are eating each meal, you need to keep in mind the five criteria for the diet. You must have low-fat quality protein, low-to-moderate glycemic index carbohydrates, fiber, healthy fat and a sugar-free beverage.

On Sundays, you are able to eat whatever you want, and it is often called the ‘cheat day’ in the diet lexicon.

In the Five Factor Diet, you may think that eating healthy was the only thin, but in fact there is also the five factor workout, which must be done each day, but the variables can be changed by the week.

All that is needed to do the workout is a dumbbell and workout bench. First, there is the cardio warm-up, which is done for five minutes getting the heart rate to about 70 percent of its maximum, this will take five minutes. After this, there is the strength training, which is done through sets, reps and rest, altered each week. This will take about ten minutes.

The core exercises follow, which include crunches, twists and rep, set and rest ranges that vary by the week. This should take you about five minutes.

The fourth, and final phase, of the workout is the cardio, which is the cool-down period that will get your body back to normal. This will take five minutes.

It is of little surprise that the Five Factor Diet has proved so popular with celebrities and the public. It is easy to do, requiring very little in the way of fancy fads or strange exercises. In fact, it is built on eating healthy, and regular exercise, which in the end, is all that is needed to stay healthy.
